Victorinox was founded in Ibach, Switzerland in 1884 with the first delivery to the Swiss Army being made in 1891. Karl Elsener created the “Original Swiss Army Knife” in 1897 but he could never have imagined that this would become the symbol of quality, functionality and Swiss inventive talent all over the world.
Victorinox is now the sole supplier of multi-purpose knives to the Swiss Army. They produce over 120,000 knives a day making them the biggest manufacturer of pocket knives in the world.
